Rajashree did her schooling in Ratnagiri district and later went to Mumbai to pursue her career. However, she never got detached from Kokan. Her affection towards Kokan and its people has always been evident. She has always been on the forefront to promote tourism in Kokan region. In 2013, she decided to have a hotel of her own that would not just provide accommodation but make its guests experience the hospitality of the region
